On December 14, 2023, President Jeon Je Seong of the Korean Association of Southeast Asian Studies (KASEAS) visited Busan University of Foreign Studies (BUFS) and inked a collaboration agreement with Bae Yang-soo, president of the Korean Association of Vietnamese Studies (KAVS).
The two academic societies have forged an alliance to advance research in the Southeast Asian region. They have committed to sophisticated collaboration, encompassing the sharing of information on academic conferences and research, organizing joint academic conferences, pursuing collaborative research initiatives, and engaging in discussions on policies for academic support.
